How to get to Lagoon Camp, Kwando Concession

Lagoon Camp is located in north-eastern Botswana, on the Kwando River, in the southern portion of the 232,000-hectare private Kwando Concession.

The Kwando River forms the eastern boundary of the reserve with 50km of exclusive permanent river frontage, full of Crocs and Hippos.

The wilderness surrounding Lagoon Camp is different to other parts of the Kwando Concession and starts with the permanent Kwando River which forms ox-bow lakes as it twists and turns. Wide flood plains are seasonal so you could visit several times and get a different experience each time.

Just to confuse you, the Kwando River acquires several other names as it flows through Botswana. It becomes the Linyanti River and Chobe River, and these names will become familiar to anyone planning a Botswana safari. They are all the same river, just at different places along is course.

Light aircraft delivers you to Lagoon Camp, which is often combined with a stay at other camps like Lebala, which is just a short drive away and Kwara in the permanent water area of the Okavango Delta.
