Chobe Forest

The Chobe Forest region is one of the most spectacular areas that you can pass through on your Chobe Safari Experience.

The Chobe Forest Reserve is situated south east of Lake Liambezi and is essentially surrounded by the Chobe National Park. The concessions known as CH/1 and CH/2 can be found north of the Chobe Forest Reserve.CH/1 and CH/2 are designated as community-managed livestock and hunting zones, of which are owned and managed by Rann Safaris. The small hunting camps situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve have boasted a number of "high profile" guests, one of the most notable being the US general, "Stormin" Norman Swatzkop.Rann Safaris have however ensured the sustainability of both the community and wildlife populations, so those with a passion for photography can enjoy a wonderful Chobe safari. Many of those who visit the reserve can easily move between Kasane and Savuti or alternatively travel along the Western Route via the Chobe Riverfront. The Chobe region is ideal for self-drive safaris to see the huge herds of Elephants that gather in the winter months.
