As this camp is situated in the Chobe National Park, regulations prohibit night drives and walking. However in the early mornings and afternoons, your professional ranger will guide your 4x4 drive safari vehicle within close viewing range of grazing African herds of Impala, Tsessebe, Giraffe and Zebra as well as the powerful predators: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. You are also likely to see plenty of Savute Wildebeest, Warthog, Kudu, Black-Backed Jackals, Steenbok, Bat-eared Foxes, Vultures, Hornbills and Eagles.
When the rain comes in December this arid region changes completely and the once Savute Elephant lodge dry plains sustain, for a short period, herds of migrating Zebra in their thousands. Overview of Savute Elephant Camp
Located on the Savute Channel in Chobe National Park, which is in the rugged, semi-arid wilderness region of far northern Botswana. Savute Elephant Camp is a luxurious tented camp in true African style. Spacious en-suite facilities have a 'his and hers vanity unit' and a dressing room area. Comfortable accommodation is in 12 luxurious twin bedded tents with private timber decks.
