Classic Fly-in Chobe Floodplain Vistas Experience

On your 3 days Chobe Safari Package you will experience the magic of the Chobe River from the Namibian side. The game lodge overlooks the Chobe National Park in Botswana and you will enjoy views of the African wilderness of dense woodland, Ilala palms and open grasslands beyond the river.

The Chobe Riverfront is a magnet for wildlife, especially vast herds of Elephant which gather en masse, particularly in the dry season. This is a magnificent destination for bird watchers on a Botswana holiday, due to the prolific year-round birdlife.

You will explore this exceptional area on a variety of activities. See rare species of antelope, Lion, Wild Dog and high concentrations of plains game on game drives. Watch the wildlife at the water's edge on a Chobe River sunset cruise or set off on an informative bush walk with your guide. For cultural interaction, you can visit a traditional Namibian village. Optional game drives in Chobe National Park are also available.

In the morning you will take the flight from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport to Kasane Airport. After a short road transfer, you will pass through Kasane immigration (Botswana and Namibian border post), from where you will get a boat transfer to the game lodge.

Your lodge is located in the Eastern Caprivi and overlooks the Chobe River. Beyond are the Puku Flats on the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park. You will find time for a light lunch, relaxing and refreshments before taking part in the game viewing activity in the afternoon.

Day 2: Chobe National Park (Namibian - side)

Early morning game drives set off after your wake-up call which is delivered with tea or coffee and a snack. Your experienced guides will show you why this area is so famous and share their knowledge of the environment with you. You enjoy brunch on your return and leisure time till the next adventure.

You could head out on a guided nature walk and examine the finer details of the bush or choose to go on a cultural visit to a traditional Namibian village. You could also simply relax by the pool and do nothing at all - your Botswana safari is a personalised experience and set to your pace.

Other options include river and motorboat safaris, fishing excursions and a sunset cruise. Evening game drives depart after high tea and usually stop for sundowners at a scenic spot along the way.
