Fly-in Mobile Moremi & Okavango Tour Experience
The 7 day Fly-in Mobile Moremi and Okavango Tour allows you to explore the amazing wildlife of the Okavango and the famous Moremi Game Reserve. You can look forward to exciting game drives during which you may see Lion, Wild Dog, Leopard, Elephant and many species of plains game such as Tsessebe and Zebra. The contrasting areas of wetland and desert are also rich in bird life, including Goliath Herons and African Fish Eagles.
Accommodation during your Botswana mobile safari is provided in comfortable en-suite tented camps. You'll also get to experience the thrill of slipping silently through the Okavango Delta's waterways in a traditional-style boat called a mokoro. This gives you the chance to see water loving animals such as Lechwe and Spotty Necked Otters.
The first part of your Okavango tour will be spent exploring the Moremi Game Reserve before you move on to the Khwai region, where you can enjoy safari activities such as night drives and guided walks. On guided walks, you will track animals and your guide will tell you interesting facts and stories about the region, while night drives are a great opportunity to see the nocturnal inhabitants of the Delta.
Day 1: Johannesburg - Maun - Moremi
On the first day of your Botswana mobile safari you will catch a morning flight from Johannesburg to Maun. In Maun, you will catch a light aircraft to an airstrip near your camp in the Moremi Game Reserve. This will give you the chance to spot some of the larger game such as Elephant and Buffalo.
You will then enjoy a short game drive en- route to your camp. You spend the next 3 days exploring this region which abounds with wildlife.
Day 2-3: Moremi Game Reserve
Day 4: Khwai River (Moremi Game Reserve)
You will arrive at your bush camp in the afternoon. It is situated overlooking the Khwai River, which has numerous Crocodiles as well as Hippo. This is a good area to try and spot rare Wild Dogs as well as Giraffe, Zebra and Tsessebe. Birding in this area is also good with a great mix of species including raptors such as Tawny Eagles.
Day 5-6: Khwai River (Moremi Game Reserve)
Explore the lead-wood and camel-thorn woodlands, savannahs and the marshy riverside of the Khwai River. On one of the days you may set out to visit Africa's largest heronry.
You can look forward to exciting day and night game drives and walking safaris in the area. Night drives allow you to see the animals that are active at night such as Lion on a kill, Hyena, Servals and Genets.
Day 7: Moremi - Maun - Johannesburg

This 7 day Mobile Moremi and Okavango Tour has set departures during the year. It includes scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg, and return light aircraft flights between Maun and your camp. The rate is calculated per person sharing. This Moremi / Okavango fly-in package can be also combined with a stay in the Chobe National Park or Victoria Falls.
