The 3 day Premier Fly-in Linyanti Wilderness Safari for Couples takes in the little known destination of Linyanti. Relatively undiscovered, it is one of the best wildlife areas in the country. Once the haunt of trophy hunters, Linyanti is well and truly a safari destination in its own right and a 3 night stay will provide the ultimate Botswana safari.
Experienced guides will share the area with you on day and night game drives, as well as nature walks when requested. These are a great way to see the smaller birds and animals found in the region. The guides will show you how to identify the tracks of animals and tell you about the uses of some of the plants you come across.
This area is known as one of the best places in Botswana for African luxury safaris. Here you can see predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena and Wild Dog. The region also has huge herds of Elephant. You'll also see abundant plains game such as Impala, Zebra and Buffalo, while in the wooded areas you'll see Sable, Roan and Kudu Antelope.
Day 1: Johannesburg - Maun - Linyanti
Your 3 day Premier Fly-in Linyanti Wilderness Safari for Couples starts with a morning flight out of Johannesburg to Maun in Botswana. From there you will be transferred by light aircraft to your luxury bush camp in the Northern part of Botswana, where you'll spend the next 2 nights. After settling in and enjoying refreshments and a light lunch you can head out on an afternoon game drive.
You may see the resident pack of Wild Dogs or Buffalo, Lechwe and Bushbuck among many others on your game drive. You'll stop off in a scenic spot to enjoy sundowners before heading back to the upmarket bush camp to enjoy a sumptuous dinner out on the deck.
Day 2: Linyanti
An early wake-up call heralds the start of the new day and you will enjoy a snack before heading out on your morning game drive or a bush walk. Your safari guide will ensure that you enjoy the best game viewing experience and he knows the habits of the animals in the area. You may track various game or even Lion as you explore the bush.
After a dramatic morning out, you will return to the game lodge for brunch before heading back to your room for a siesta. Afterwards, you can enjoy a delicious high tea followed by a canoeing safari on the Linyanti River. You'll return to camp for sundowners and dinner before retiring to your room where you can drift off to sleep listening to the sounds of the African night.
Day 3: Linyanti - Maun - Johannesburg
