The Chobe / Linyanti area is celebrated for its dense Elephant population and for some of the best Elephant viewing anywhere in Africa in the winter months. In the southern part of the Linyanti Reserve is your luxury Savuti camp, built along the Savuti Channel and accommodating a maximum of eight guests at a time.
The Savuti Channel is a legendary wildlife safari region, best known for its large number of African predators. When the channel flows, water travels from the Linyanti marshes into the interior of the Chobe National Park. The channel stopped flowing in 1980 and what was a Hippo-filled river is now wide open grasslands. Because there is no permanent natural water source in the Savute area, animals are attracted to water holes. This provides for the opportunity to encounter different species at these places at any one time.
