Khwai River Lodge is cradled on the gentle curves of the Khwai River which forms the natural boundary of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The tranquil setting of Khwai River Lodge belies the fact that you are in Africa until it is broken by the snorting of the Hippopotamus and the trumpeting of cavorting Elephants using the river as refuge from the midday heat.
Outside there is a second fireplace alongside the teak viewing deck, a heated swimming pool and a secluded viewing platform which overlooks the river. Khwai River Lodge has 15 twin-bedded luxury tents, with en-suite facilities and features a large swimming pool. Hot and cold water, electricity, laundry facilities and a fully-stocked bar are available.
The 15 twin-bedded luxury tents with thatched roofs feature lavishly appointed en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas. The tents are set on decks overlooking the Khwai River. Each tent is fitted with modern conveniences, including air conditioning, electric heater and 24 hour DC lighting.
Khwai River Lodge also has a exclusive private suite, perfect for a more intimate safari experience. This private suite is situated away from the other tents, with its own private deck consisting of two sun loungers and a heated splash pool set under the trees and with amazing views of the Delta. Features of this private luxury suite included controlled room temperatures, bathrobes, soft bath sheets, slippers, fully stocked mini bar as well as luxurious bathroom toiletries.
