Kwetsani Island is a large elongated island surrounded by enormous open plains. Ideally located in Jao Private Reserve to the West of Mombo and the Moremi Reserve. This Okavango Delta safari lodge rests in stilts beneath the shady canopy overlooking flood plains.
This 10 bedded luxury tented camp is raised on wooden decks above the leafy ground vegetation. The 5 spacious and lavish 'tree-house' chalets are built under a 'palm-frond thatch' roof. En-suite facilities include a shower, flush toilet and basin, with an additional outdoor shower. The rooms have an open, airy feel about them, with a superb view of the surrounding plains.
Kwetsani Camp offers superb land and water activities. In addition to experiencing a unique mokoro (dug out canoe) ride, you will also be able to enjoy exploring palm-fringed islands on foot. Day and night game drives are available, enabling you to experience varied and diverse game viewing on your Botswana safari. Boating safaris are also highly enjoyable. Game drives are conducted year-round, their range being determined by the prevailing flood levels.
Being outside the Moremi Game Reserve, night-drives are permitted at Kwetsani allowing you to view nocturnally active animals. Kwetsani is most appropriately classified as a 'combination' of water and land camp, although water activities are probably the best feature of this Okavango Delta safari lodge.
