Oddballs' Camp is situated on the edge of Chiefs Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. This affordable Botswana camp is accessible by light aircraft only a 20 minute flight from Maun. On arrival you will be met at the airstrip and welcomed to the island.
Accommodation is in dome tents set on elevated wooden decks, and shaded by reed shelters. Each tent is equipped with mattresses, pillows and a light, and there are shared ablution facilities. Guests provide their own sleeping bags, towels and torches.
The central bar / lounge area has comfortable lounge chairs, a raised viewing deck overlooking the sweep of the Delta making it a perfect place to sip sundowners and watch the sunsets and wildlife.
An additional attraction at Oddballs' Camp are the mokoro trails into the further reaches of the Delta. All equipment and provisions are packed into your mokoro as you set off with your guide for an unforgettable wilderness experience. Camping equipment is provided (tent, mattress and pillow, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, a braai grid and cooler box).
Your trail will take you along winding channels lined with reeds, into the Moremi Game Reserve - an area known for its diverse bird and animal life. The less intrepid might choose to stay in Oddballs' Camp and do daily excursions by mokoro and walk on the larger islands.
