The Thamalakane River forms part of the Okavango River System which forms part of the inland delta that has no access to the sea. The region allows wonderful birding opportunities thanks to its swampy vegetation.
Lined with reeds, the riverbanks are a good spot to view amphibious creatures and a variety of birds. Situated in close proximity to Maun, the lodge allows its guests to stray from the premises in search of adventure among the local residents of the area. The Moremi Game Reserve is situated close to the lodge, providing an area of extensive game viewing.
Directions:
From Maun take the Shorobe road towards Moremi Game Reserve. 19kms from Maun, turn left at the sign and the lodge is 700 mts off the road.
