Authentic Okavango Fly-in Experience
This 3 day safari experience offers a relaxing getaway in a most spectacular site within the Okavango Delta. You can enjoy wonderful views over the water from your island safari lodge which is located on the edge of a lagoon.
The Okavango Delta is a pristine wilderness and wetlands area in Botswana. You will be able to explore its lush beauty on a variety of game viewing activities which are land and water based. Your experienced guides have an intimate knowledge of this area which they share with you.
Each day is an adventure and you will experience the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the early mornings and in the late afternoon. During the heat of the day, you can rest in the comfort of your safari lodge and later enjoy a delicious al-fresco dinner under beautiful night skies.
Day 1: Johannesburg - Maun - Okavango Delta
You will fly from Johannesburg to Maun for your connecting light aircraft flight into the Okavango Delta, where you will spend 2 nights.
Once you have settled in and refreshed, you can explore the Okavango Delta with a game viewing activity in the afternoon followed by sun downer drinks overlooking the lagoon.
Day 2: Okavango Delta
The Okavango is a birding haven and you will rise to the sounds of a morning chorus. Your day starts early with a wake-up call and tea or coffee before setting off on a morning Okavango Delta safari activity with your qualified guide. You return to the lodge for brunch and leisure time. Afternoon tea is followed by a sunset activity with your guide.
You could discover the Delta in a mokoro, which is a traditional canoe. This is a most relaxing way to explore the channels and waterways of the Delta. Your guide will steer the canoe while you keep your camera at the ready to capture images of any wildlife at the water's edge. There is a motor boat option as well. Other activities include guided walking safari at Xugana Island Lodge, seasonal fishing for Bream and Tiger fish as well as amazing bird watching.
Day 3: Okavango Delta - Maun - Johannesburg

This Botswana safari tour package is based on a 3 day fly-in to the Okavango Delta for 2 guests sharing en-suite accommodation, all inclusive of meals and game viewing activities with scheduled flights ex/to Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport.
This package cannot be offered during January and February, during the rainy season. Please ask us for an alternative option at this time. This Botswana safari tour can also be combined with a stay at Chobe National Park and Savute area.
