This 3 day Classic Fly-in Okavango Safari provides you with the opportunity to experience the scenic beauty and serenity of the Okavango wetlands. This Botswana tour will allow you to discover the diversity of life in the Delta.
Your classic safari lodge is situated in a pristine wilderness area adjoining the Moremi Game Reserve. The region has a variety of habitats ranging from papyrus lined water ways to rolling savannahs and tall Mopane forests, all of which abound with wildlife.
Enjoy exciting day and night game drives, tranquil boat cruises in the lagoon, and interesting nature walks. Nature walks are a great opportunity to see the many species of birds in the area. The region has lots of Lechwe on the floodplains, as well as large herds of Wildebeest. A highlight of the trip would be spotting the Painted Hunting Dogs which sometimes pass through.
On your first day, you will fly from Johannesburg to Maun before catching a light aircraft to your lodge in the Okavango Delta where you will spend the next 2 nights.
Once you have made yourself at home you can set about exploring the Okavango Delta on your afternoon game viewing activity. On a game drive you can watch Lechwe grazing on the floodplains or Elephant coming down to drink at one of the many channels that make up the Delta.
While on a game drive, you might be lucky enough to see Cheetahs or African Wild Dogs in this area of the Okavango. Your game viewing activity is followed by refreshing sundowners and a delicious dinner.
