Jao Camp is located on a large, remote island in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, making it accessible only by air. A flight from Victoria Falls is 20 minutes in duration, from Maun, the flight takes 35 minutes, and from Kasane, it takes an hour and 25 minutes. The private airstrip is located only 10-minutes drive from the camp.
Since the camp is perfectly positioned amongst the Delta waterways and dry Kalahari woodland, you can enjoy both land and water experiences during your stay. The water activities, however, will depend on the time of year and the flood levels. The flood months run from April to September.
